This listing is for an antique round celestial map, for the Southern Hemisphere. Hartford: F. J. Huntington, 1835 Engraved by W. G. Evans under the direction of E.H. Burritt for F. J. Huntington, Hartford Connecticut From Elijah H. Buritt's Atlas, designed to illustrate the Geography of the Heavens.   There were eight plates in the atlas.   This is plate 7 Please see our other auctions for another of these plates. Bonhams had 7 of these plates in their Dec 6, 2017 auction, with an estimate of US$5,000-8,000 It is framed behind glass. NOTE - because of the high cost of shipping, this item will be removed from the frame and sent to you in a tube.    The shipping cost assumes it is sent in a tube.    If you would like it sent in the frame, we will be happy to do so, provided you pay the cost of shipping in the frame, and assume the risk of having the glass crack (the glass has a crack lower left). It is in good condition, with some toning (please see the photos).   It has slipped inside the frame. The map is about 12 x 12 inches It is framed behind glass.
